STINGER SEASON

Stay Safe in the Whitsundays During Stinger Season

Everyone knows that from October through May, the weather in the Whitsundays heats up and so do the risks. During these months, dangerous ocean creatures move in, preying on unsuspecting and unprepared swimmers or leisurely walkers.

Unfortunately, the idea that walking in shallow water is safe is a myth. You can be stung anywhere, at any time. That said, don’t let this scare you many tourists and locals swim and walk along the beaches every day without incident.

The key is preparation. If you’re swimming during stinger season, tour operators are required to provide stinger suits for use in the water and to carry first aid onboard all vessels.

Still, being prepared with your own equipment and knowledge is the gold standard.

That’s why I’ve partnered with the amazing team at Oceanic Tales to bring you a special safety discount on their Marine Kits.

These kits were created after a frightening incident in which the owner’s son was stung. Feeling helpless, unaware, and unprepared as many people would Mel, the owner, decided to take action. She dedicated herself to education and developed what has become the most effective Marine Kit on the market.

You can order directly from their website or just click their name here: Oceanic Tales . Just place a kit in your cart and enter the code “Enchanted10” at checkout to receive a special discount from me.

Please share this with your friends and family because safety is something worth sharing.
